What is an Escape Room?

An Escape Room is a physical game in real-life where players are 'locked' in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within 60 minutes.

How many games are there?

We have 4 rooms on our site: Bunker, Zodiac Killer, Prison Break x2

How long is one game?

Each game lasts for up to 60 minutes, there is also a 15 minute introduction where all rules will be explained. The whole experience lasts about 80 minutes to 90 minutes, including introduction, gameplay and debrief. It is important that you are on time to ensure you get the maximum amount of time in the rooms as possible.

How much does it cost?

Fox in a Box Room Escape prices start at £30 per person and vary depending on team sizes. Please have a look at booking to find out more. Please also be aware that Fox in a Box Room Escape is a live event and therefore once the booking is confirmed, refunds, cancellations or reschedules are not accepted. We accept all major credit cards or bank transfers.

What time do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at the time of your booking. Your allocated slot incorporates your 15-minute introduction so there's no need to arrive 15 minutes early. However, due to slots being pre-booked please ensure you are on time as late arrivals may have less time in the rooms, not optimising the experience fully.

Are we really locked in the rooms?

Our Bunker room does not lock shut, the main door is unlocked the whole time. Our Zodiac Killer, and Prison Break rooms are locked and you must obtain an item or code to escape. However, these rooms all contain easily accessible panic buttons which immediately unlock the door in the event of an emergency. Players who may be claustrophobic or have other medical conditions are able to leave the rooms at any time if they need to do so.

Team sizes

We recommend the teams to be between 3 and 5 players with four being the optimum number. Two people can play, but it is much harder and we still have to charge the 3 player price (£90). Six players can play but it may get a bit crowded and your experience may be lessened by it.

I need to make a reservation for more than 6 people. What do I do?

If you need to make a reservation for more than 6 persons, you can use the Multiple Booking tool. This tool allows you to select more than one room at a time while also allowing you to enter in your reservation information only once. This makes the reservation process for more than one room much easier and faster.

Accessibility and special requirements

Our premises have been designed with wheelchair users in mind. The main reception area is wheelchair accessible as is our Bunker room, meaning that everyone can experience the game fully. Pregnant women can also fully enjoy our games as they are not physically challenging. There are some fear factors within Zodiac killer however these can be eliminated if requested. However, if you have any serious medical issues which need to be brought to our attention, please inform your games master prior to your game starting.

Age limits

The minimum recommended age of team members is 14. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. However, people of all ages are welcomed. The main reason for the recommended age is due to the complexity of some of the games.
